Green Day borrows a Joan Jett/arena rock vibe for the latest track ahead of ‘Father Of All Mother****ers.’
With the release of ‘FOAM’ just three weeks out, Green Day have shared a third track from that much-anticipated album.
“Oh Yeah” might be the first track Green Day built around a sample. Joan Jett & The Blackheart fans should recognize the drumbeat and “Oh Yeah!” chorus from “Do You Wanna Touch Me”.
Here’s the original track in case you wanna compare.
‘FOAM’ arrives on February 7.
Green Day confirmed the sample on social media and added a little something extra.

Green Day is referring to Gary Glitter. The UK glam rocker who originally wrote “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)” is currently serving a 16 year prison sentence for various child sex charges.
Green Day’s ‘Hella Mega Tour’ with Fall Out Boy and Weezer won’t be rolling through KC. But Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will be at Kauffman Stadium on June 23rd along with Poison opening for the awesomely retro Def Leppard and Motley Crue stadium tour.
