The Dave Grohl And Prince Jam Session No One Saw

In his latest @davestruestories adventure, Dave Grohl dives deep into his love of Prince, trading cover songs, and the jam session of his dreams.

Rock’s best dude Dave Grohl is now three tales deep into his @davestruestories Instagram feed. We learned about how his love of fireworks almost killed his neighbors. We learned how a lost wallet prevented him from partying with Pantera at the band’s Texas strip club. And now, we get to learn all about his epic jam with Prince and his band on-stage at an EMPTY Forum in Los Angeles. (Once again… NSFW language below)

Because I’m a sucker for behind-the-scenes music industry stories, I love how Prince went from ragging on the Foo Fighters for covering “Darling Nikki” in 2003 to covering Foo Fighters’ “Best Of You” at his Super Bowl halftime show a few years later. And Dave was in complete disbelief that Prince would cover one of his songs that Dave didn’t even watch the live performance! Unbelievable.

Keep the yarns coming, Dave!
