Post Malone, Travis Barker, and more raised $2.6M for the UN Foundation’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund
When I tuned into this live yesterday evening, I did not see what I expected: a sleepy, living room acoustic set where Post Malone played the occasional Nirvana tune between his own mega-hits.
What I saw was a loud, muscular full band set of exclusively Nirvana tracks anchored none other thank Blink-182’s Travis Barker.
As if decided by fate, I connected to the livestream as Post played “About A Girl”, a song that recently went viral because of another band’s cover.
As for Post’s performance, he had Courtney Love’s endorsement going in. She even advised his fashion choice, pointing him in the direction of floral print dresses that Kurt Cobain may have worn. And Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic chimed in during the event with kind words.
Frankly, if Krist and Dave Grohl wanted to tour with Post Malone singing, after yesterday I would fully support this.
