The Pretty Reckless frontwoman and Soundgarden’s Matt Cameron cover “Halfway There” in tribute to the late, great Chris Cornell.
Hard to believe Monday was the third anniversary of the day the world lost Chris Cornell.
The Pretty Reckless opened for Soundgarden during that tour where Chris left us. Like Cornell’s bandmates and fans, Taylor Momsen and the rest of her band were appropriately gutted. But friendship between Soundgarden and The Pretty Reckless endured. When Momsen annouced a new album was on the way, they also shared that Soundgarden and Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron would somehow be involved. We’re still not sure exactly how, but consider this social distancing collab a bonus. Cameron on guitar and Momsen on vocals for a rendition of Soundgarden reunion-era track “Halfway There”. Enjoy.
The Pretty Reckless will release Death By Rock And Roll later this year. You can listen to the title track here.
