Korn Covers “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” For Charity

Korn honors the late Charlie Daniels with this ballsy, ambitious cover song and helps at-risk kids in one fell swoop.

During sessions for their 2019 album The Nothing, Korn teamed up with rapper Yelawolf to re-create the borderline uncoverable country classic “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” by Charlie Daniels Band.

In early July, the inimitable Charlie Daniels passed away.

A few weeks later, Korn finally released their tribute to him. But their track will also generate good karma elsewhere. Korn will donate all proceeds from “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” to Awakening Youth – a non-profit that helps at-risk kids who lose a parent through divorce, addiction, death, or other circumstances.

The track is exclusively available on Bandcamp for a minimum donation of $2 but please kick in more if you’re able.
