Watch Metallica Cover Alice In Chains “Would”

Papa Het does Layne Staley proud with his amazing vocals on one of AIC’s most timeless tracks.

My only complaint about Metallica’s mostly acoustic cover of “Would” is that they stop halfway through to say beautiful things about Alice In Chains. Don’t tease us, boys!

Metallica’s tribute to Alice In Chains was part of Museum of Pop Culture’s Founders Award celebration. Tons of artists banded together to perform AIC songs and talk about what the band meant to them. Plus, Seattle’s MoPOP uses the event as one of their chief annual fundraising efforts. Check out the full 2 1/2 hour show below, and scroll down for the performance setlist if you just wanna skip around to your favorite artists.
