Other rock all-stars including Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney join Post Malone for Black Sabbath and Alice In Chains covers.
Remember back in April when Post Malone and Travis Barker performed an entire livestream set of Nirvana covers for charity? It was pretty badass. Posty got back in the livestream game over New Year’s Eve – this time playing mostly his own material. This live band helped convey more depth and muscle behind his massive hits like “Better Now” and “Circles”.
The final two songs, however, featured some special guests. The aforementioned Smith and Chaney along with producer Andrew Watt joined him for a moving cover of Alice In Chains’ “Rooster”. Afterwards, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash replaced Watt for a killer performance of Black Sabbath’s classic “War Pigs”. Posty showing his rock bona fides once again. You can watch the whole livestream below, with the rock covers starting about the 34:50 mark.
And while Ozzy Osbourne wasn’t present, Post and his band performed “Take What You Want” around the 16:45 mark as well.
